We all know that the longer we use our lighting, the more it costs. This does not always have to be the case.
Over the past 20 years energy prices have soared and our consumption of energy has become less efficient.
An 18 Watt LED light bulb Produces more light (measured in lumens) than a 100 Watt Incandescent Bulb.
This means an LED Bulb uses 82% less electricity per hour than its Incandescent counterpart.
But of course they cost more.
Well the difference between the two variations is 25p. But the LED will last 3 times longer.
So in conclusion, LED's cost less to run, require changing far less often and the purchase price is very similar to it older cousin.
